The palate has a smooth shell-like outer, opening to powerful, succulent tannins that really command. A concentrated Te Rehua, this is one of the best to date. Drink from 2020. 3. No1 Family Estate No1 Brut Rosé Marlborough NV
    WA91
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points! The light-pink 100% Pinot Noir NV No 1 Rose provides an interesting counterpoint to the No 1 Cuvee, which is all Chardonnay. It seems more primary, offering up strawberry fruit, a bit of creaminess on the mid-palate, and lime-like acids on the finish. It feels a bit weightier on the palate than the blanc de blancs, despite being drier. - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate

  6. Dry River Pinot Noir Martinborough 2014
    WA94
    $69.99
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  If pulling the cork on the 2014 Pinot Noir soon, be sure to decant it a bit in advance of serving to allow some tarry aromas to dissipate. Once past those, pretty black cherry, raspberry and spice notes emerge, along with a simply gorgeous, plump, silky texture. It's expansive in the mouth without being weighty, while those tannins gain strength on the finish, suggesting at least a decade more of aging potential. - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate #235

93 Points!  Medium ruby colored, the 2014 Te Rehua Pinot Noir displays a gorgeous core of cherries, pomegranate and forest floor with wild thyme and lavender hints. Crisp, firm and chewy in the mouth, it offers elegant fruit with great intensity, going savory/earthy in the long finish.  Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate #228, December 2016

    JS97
Special Price $44.98 Regular Price $65.00

97 Points!  The clear and swirling whole-bunch aromatics here are really charming and bursting with attractive and complex pinot perfumes such as rose petals, sweet spices and bright red-tinged berry fruits. The palate has handy definition, light and shade, powerful yet reserved detail and long tannins that run in unison through a very focused, juicy and punchy crisp finish. I love this wine for its elegance and power; it's great pinot at its finest. Best from 2018.  JamesSuckling.Com, December 22, 2016

  9. Escarpment Pinot Noir Kupe Martinborough 2014
    JS97
    $59.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points!  I saw these grapes on the vine the night before harvest in 2014 and they were remarkable for their flavorsome depth and thick but supple skin texture. The wine carries the same qualities. It's deeply complex, indulging from the outset in graphite and black cherries on the nose, in fine combination with dark spices, rosehip, toasty oak and sweet, freshly dug earth. The palate rolls through like a perfectly formed wave, delivering an arc of dark-plum and cherry fruit, as the tannins curl and twist on the finish before releasing a fresh surge of tangy plum flavors. They hold long and bold, making for a highly impressive wine. There are several phases already, but this will really peak around 2021 and hold for several years after.  JamesSuckling.Com, December 22, 2016
