  1. Girolamo Russo Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo 2016
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! One step up on the intensity ladder, the 2016 Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo shows a greater degree of concentration and darkness compared to A'Rina and Feudo. The Feudo di Mezzo vineyard delivers gusty, ripe and dark fruit characteristics. You get dark cherry and plummy fruit with spice, tar and licorice at the back. This is a beautiful expression from Etna. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
  2. Girolamo Russo Etna Rosso San Lorenzo 2016
    JS94
    WA94
    $49.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! I'm having a hard time choosing my favorite single-vineyard expression among this group of new releases from Giuseppe Russo. The 2016 Etna Rosso San Lorenzo, to me, is the most elegant and complete. It has most of the power of the Feudo di Mezzo (my other favorite) with some of the more interesting and wild aromas you get in the other wines. It's all packed into this very complete bottle. This wine is almost all Nerello Mascalese with a tiny part Nerello Cappuccio. Go in close and you will smell those crushed white pepper aromas that come from the Cappuccio. This wine might also be a touch more accessible overall. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
  3. Allegrini Palazzo della Torre 2015
    JS94
    $17.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! A very spicy nose with dried blueberries, Christmas cake, blackberry pudding, tar, treacle tart, roasted herbs and balsamic. Full body, ripe and round tannins and a finish that shows real verve and life, thanks to a wave of refreshing acidity. Drink now or hold. - JamesSuckling.com Learn More
  4. Tenuta Greppo Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2001
    WS93
    WE96
    VM94
    $399.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points! Biondi-Santi's 2001 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is just as terrific in bottle as it was when I tasted it from cask last year. A dark, translucent red, it reveals superb freshness in its aromatics, with notes of small red fruits, spices, flowers, mint and anise that you could get lost in. It is perhaps less rewarding on the palate today, but its class is amply evident in the purity of its fruit and silkiness of its tannins. This is a wine built for tertiary development that will occur over the following years and decades. Readers who appreciate classically built, age-worthy wines and have the time to wait will find much to admire. In the meantime, this Brunello is all about potential, and there is plenty of that here. It is a great effort. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More

    $219.98

95 Points! One of the best Biondi-Santi's in years. This is really silky, with plum and chocolate and hints of cedar. Some citrus as well. Full body, with gorgeous fruit and a persistent finish. Give this another three to four years to open. - JamesSuckling.com Learn More
  6. Tenuta Greppo (Biondi-Santi) Brunello di Montalcino 2005
    WE92
    VM94+
    $199.98
    Availability:In Stock
94+ Points! The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino Annata opens with a fabulous, expressive bouquet of freshly cut roses, spices and raspberries, all of which carry through to the palate, where the wine reveals impeccable class and elegance, with just enough fruit to balance its angular, lean structure. Still, the 2005 is surprisingly round and harmonious for a young vintage of Biondi Santi, in fact, I had a hard time putting the glass down! Though medium in body, the wine offers gorgeous persistence and a long, exceptionally pure finish. I expect the 2005 Brunello to shut down in bottle, but readers who have an opportunity to taste the wine should not hesitate. Biondi-Santi did not produce a Riserva in 2005; instead the best of the fruit that is normally destined for the Riserva plus a selection of old vines near the heart of the estate were used for the 2005 Brunello. This is one of the unqualified successes of the vintage. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media Learn More

94 Points! The nose of this white is extremely refined, offering up green apples, thyme, preserved lemons, pine needles, dried citrus rind and beeswax. 95 Points! The 60/30/10 blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in the 2016 Bolgheri Rosso Magari produces an expressive and opulent red wine, with great acidity and definition. The wine is firm and tightly wound, with secondary complexity that expresses itself in terms of tar, leather and spice. The tannins are supple and soft. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More

  11. Paolo Scavino Barolo Cannubi 2015
    JS98
    WA94+
    $69.98
    Availability:In Stock
98 Points! It’s the fruit tea and hibiscus that really lifts this, not to mention the roasted herbs that lurk beneath the surface. But there’s no shortage of dried fruit either, whether it be dried cherries, dried plums or Christmas cake. It’s a real mouth-coater, showing sheer elegance in a bottle, encapsulated in the tannins that weave an ornate tapestry, hung between every corner of the palate. Full-bodied and very, very long. Best ever? - JamesSuckling.com Learn More

96 Points! The sour cherries really lift this off on the nose, catching suggestions of candied citrus, tile, roasted herbs and cedar. Racy and sexy, drawn out into shape by the forthright acidity and steely tannins. Drink in 2023. - JamesSuckling.com Learn More
  13. Paolo Scavino Barolo 2015
    JS94
    WA93
    $34.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! For a few years running now, this has been one of the Scavino family’s signature bottles. The goal here is to aim higher than your standard “base” or “classico” Barolo. The Paolo Scavino 2015 Barolo is made with a complicated blend of fruit from seven vineyard sites spread clear across the appellation from Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, Serralunga d’Alba and more townships. Each parcel is fermented separately, and some parcels are split into two or more individual fermentations. In order to maintain the highest quality standards, some 10% of the fruit is sold off as bulk, and once the overall selection is whittled down, the best fruit remains in-house. This is a compact and darkly saturated wine with bold blueberry and blackberry fruit. The wine shows a steady center of gravity in this warm, fruit-driven vintage. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
