  1. Husch Dry Gewurztraminer Anderson Valley 2017
    $11.98
    Availability:In Stock
Part of the juice for this wine comes from vines planted in 1968 and the cool climate here suits the varietal like few places in the Golden State.  As such it is dry, crisp, delicate, spicy and ‘Gewurtzy’ without being overdone or clumsy.  Sometimes Gewurz can be a little 'dumpy' on the finish, but not this one.  Clean, bright, varietal with a subtle fruit and floral nose, delicate spice notes through the palate, and lift to the finish.  Fire this up with a holiday ham or any number of lighter preparations of fish or fowl, particularly with an Asian slant.

  2. Dr. Konstantin Frank Gewurztraminer Finger Lakes 2017
    $16.98
    Availability:In Stock
The 2017 Gewürztraminer comes in with 12.1 grams of residual sugar, six of total acidity and 13.3% alcohol. Unusually, this also has 5% Riesling. This is very well done, another fine bargain from Dr. Frank. This screams Gewürz in character. It's heavier on the lychees than on the spice, but those flavors linger a long while. It has good concentration for the level, although it could be more tightly wound. It is more persistent than it seems at first, though. It's also pretty delicious, if you like Gewürz, and impeccably balanced. The sugar doesn't stand out at all—it simply cuts the inherent bitterness of the grape. This is well done. It is likely to be better on the younger side, no matter how long it theoretically lasts. - Mark Squires, robertparker.com

92 Points!  Generous citrus, lychee and jasmine on the nose. Some delicacy. A remarkably crisp and dry gewurztraminer that has a refreshing finish, making it an unusually good food wine for this grape. Drink or hold. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. - JamesSuckling.com

  4. Rebholz Gewurztraminer Spatlese Pfalz 2015
    VM90
    $37.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points! Lychee and ripe muskmelon on the nose announce that this will represent a very different side of its grape’s personality from the present collection’s corresponding dry “vom Lösslehm” bottling. A glycerol-rich but alcoholically lightweight (9.5 percent) palate features the aforementioned fruits, leading to a lushly lingering, rather overbearingly sweet finish. Even so, some floral and herbal nuances peek shyly through the rich fruit and residual sugar. And you certainly can’t fault this bottling on polish or purity. - David Schildknecht, Vinous Media

  5. Trimbach Gewurztraminer Alsace 2015
    JS92
    VM90
    $19.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points! Good full yellow. The strongly floral nose also hints at smoky bacon and exotic fruits. Then almost austere and straightforward; a very strong saline bent frames the delicate tropical fruit and honeyed flavors. Tactile but also very pure on the long finish. Lovely, lighter-styled Gewürz. - Ian D'Agata, Vinous Media
