    VM91
Special Price $19.98 Regular Price $34.98
    Availability:In Stock
92+ Points! The 2015 Riesling Spätlese Vols I (AP 08 16) is sourced from almost 55-year-old vines in the eponymous vineyard that is officially part of the Wiltinger Braunfels. The wine opens with a ripe and subtly intense Riesling bouquet with floral and herbal aromas. Round, finessed and piquant on the palate, this is a gorgeously lush and intense yet precise and frisky Riesling of remarkable elegance, mineral grip and tension. The finish is long, complex and salty and very stimulating, although the 2015 is still very young. - Stephan Reinhardt, robertparker.com Learn More

96 Points!  Super peachy with great brilliance and refinement. This is a great Spätlese that's dry enough for the finest lobster dish, but it is also powerful enough to cope with the spiciest curry. The very long finish keeps pumping out fruit and minerals. Drink or hold. - JamesSuckling.com

93 Points!  Rich and broad, with peach, mango, nectarine and slate aromas and flavors mingling together. The structure is covered for now, but this is so well-balanced it's almost seamless. Fine length and very clean on the finish.  - Wine Spectator

  4. Dr. Burklin-Wolf Riesling Trocken Burklin Estate Pfalz 2016
    JS92
    VM90
Special Price $9.98 Regular Price $22.00
    Availability:Out of Stock
90 Points! Widely sourced but incorporating a high percentage of Wachenheim fruit, this epitomizes the clarity and precision characteristic of Bürklin-Wolf Rieslings, reinforced by the tendencies of its vintage toward animation and levity. White peach and lime are tinged with raw ginger and tangy, sweat-like salinity on the nose as well as on a polished, buoyant, infectiously juicy palate. Green herb pungency enhances the invigoration of an energetically sustained finish. (Each successive bottling of the Bürklin-Wolf generic will have had more time on the fine lees, but each represents the same initial blend. This bottling is labeled in some English-speaking markets as “Bürklin Estate Riesling.”) - David Schildknecht, Vinous Media

  5. Schafer-Frohlich Riesling Spatlese Bockenauer Felseneck 2016
    WS93
    WA92
    VM91
Special Price $29.98 Regular Price $50.00
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! Sourced from steep plots with 30- to 40-year-old vines, the 2016 Nahe Riesling Bockenauer Felseneck Spätlese was picked early—just one week after the Kabinett—to preserve the acidity and with perfectly healthy berries at 95° Oechsle. This is a flinty-spicy, stony-mineral Riesling with beautiful herbal and minty notes. Round, very clear and elegant on the palate, this is a lithe, greatly finessed and delicate Spätlese with crystalline clarity and a slatey character. This reminds me of a Wehlener Sonnenuhr or Graacher Himmelreich from the Mosel. This is a highly precise and delicate Spätlese with lingering salinity and crystallization. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

93 Points! The 2016 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese (AP 19 17) opens with its typical coolish-flinty and spicy bouquet that indicates a lovely ripeness and transparency. On the palate, this is an enormously lush, piquant and salty Schlossberg with grip, salt and tension. Extremely dangerous since you probably cannot stop drinking once you have started. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

  7. Fritz Haag Brauneberger Riesling Kabinett 2016
    JS91
    VM92
    $24.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points!  A faintly cheesy fermentative overlay lifts with aeration to reveal ripe apple, honeydew and quince. Buoyant, silken-textured and generously, lusciously fruity, the palate features a judicious measure of entirely supportive sweetness and an influx of fresh grapefruit and lime that lend delightful animation and eventual refreshment. A hint of almond paste on the finish reinforces the sense of ripe melon and northern orchard fruits, but the wine’s citricity and undertone of wet stone never let up. This clings both soothingly and stimulatingly – an impeccable example of its genre (and one that entirely eclipses its rather inexplicably weak vintage 2015 predecessor). Calling it “super clean and clear,” Oliver Haag predicted that this Kabinett will be a fine ager, and I concur on all counts, other than the need for the nose to shed its slight funk, which will happen within a couple of years.  - David Schildknecht, Vinous Media
