Vivid ruby. A highly perfumed, expressive bouquet evokes ripe red berries, exotic spices and potpourri, and a smoky mineral nuance adds lift and urgency. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated raspberry liqueur, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors that spread out steadily with air. Blends power and finesse with a sure hand and finishes extremely long and smooth, with fine-grained tannins making a late appearance. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media Learn More
  2. Saint Damien Gigondas Les Souteyrades 2016

    $33.98

97 Points!  The 2016 Gigondas Les Souteyrades checks in as 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre that was brought up all in foudre. It's another powerful, concentrated, awesome wine that has slightly more exotic notes of black raspberries, crushed flowers, spice, and sappy garrigue. I almost always find a citrus note in this cuvée, which is full-bodied, opulent and mouthfilling on the palate, yet always stays graceful and lively. - Jeb Dunnuck

  3. Saint Damien Gigondas La Louisiane 2016
    JD96
    WA94
    $33.98
    Availability:In Stock
96 Points!  Deeply colored, the 2016 Gigondas La Louisiane comes from single vineyard on the lower plain, not far from the estate, and is 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and the balance Syrah and Cinsault. It offers a classic bouquet of dark berry fruits, peppery herbs, garrigue, and obvious minerality. Reminding me of the 2010 with its pure, straight style, it’s full-bodied and elegant on the palate, and is going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age. - Jeb Dunnuck

    JD92
    VM93-95

93-95 Points!  Brilliant ruby-red. Suave, highly perfumed raspberry, cherry preserve, floral pastille and apricot (!) aromas are complemented by hints of garrigue and exotic spices. Palate-staining, alluringly sweet red and blue fruit and spicecake flavors show serious power as well as vivacity thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. The floral quality comes back strong on a extremely long, sappy finish shaped by sneaky, slow-mounting tannins. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media, August 2018.

  8. Perrin Gigondas Clos des Tourelles 2016 Pre-Arrival
    JD99
    WA97
    $64.98
99 Points! As with the 2017, the 2016 Gigondas Clos des Tourelles comes from vines inside the village. It's noticeably deeper in color than the La Gille and gives up a huge bouquet of blueberries, violets, smoked duck, and crushed rocks. Deep, full-bodied, concentrated, and multi-dimensional, it has building tannin and a huge finish. It needs time, but wow, what a wine. Hats off to the Perrin family for this utterly sensational wine. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  11. Saint Damien Gigondas Les Souteyrades 2015
    JD97
    $34.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
97 Points! The most opulent and voluptuous of the 2015s, the 2015 Gigondas Les Souteyrades is heavenly juice that, again, drinks well past its humble price point. Just loaded with notions of strawberries, framboise, spring flowers, dried orange peels and spice, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a thick, unctuous texture, sweet tannin and a great, great finish. This cuvee is the normal 80/20 split of Grenache and Mourvèdre, aged all in foudre, and there’s just 750 cases made. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com

  12. Perrin Gigondas Clos des Tourelles 2015
    JD97
    WA95
    $54.98
    Availability:In Stock
97 Points! The finest vintage to date, the 2015 Gigondas Le Clos des Tourelles comes from a tiny vineyard located just inside the village of Gigondas. Incorporating a touch of Syrah, this Grenache dominated beauty reveals a deep ruby/purple color as well as off the chart notes of black raspberries, black cherries, pepper, garrigue, and tons of that classic Gigondas spice. I wrote “Wow” more than once in my notes and this full-bodied 2015 has ultra-fine tannin, perfect balance, and a stacked mid-palate. Give bottles 2-3 years and drink over the following 15+ years.- Jeb Dunnuck, 10/19/17
