  1. Jean Chauvenet Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes 2015
    VM93
    $94.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points!  The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a magnificent, well-defined, pure bouquet of black cherry and wild strawberry with subtle cassis notes and impressive crushed stone scents tucked underneath the fruit. The dense palate is medium-bodied with lovely sapidity. Clearly a wine built for the long haul, yet undoubtedly shows the requisite tension and terroir expression. Superb. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

  2. Domaine Leroy Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots (cracked wax capsule)
    WA94
    $1,199.98
    Availability:In Stock
94 Points!  Of the five outstanding offerings from the village of Nuits St.-Georges, the most exotic and flashy is the Nuits St.-Georges-Aux Boudots. The huge nose of roasted meats, pure black-raspberries, and herbs soars from the glass. Full-bodied, with layer upon layer of rich, unctuous Pinot fruit, this super-concentrated, voluptuously textured wine is so rich that the formidable tannin levels are nearly concealed. The finish goes on and on. - Robert Parker, robertparker.com, 1992

  3. Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains 2016
    WA93
    VM92
    $159.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points!  There are just nine barrels from 1.5 hectares of vines this year, so make the most of the 2016 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Vaucrains if you can locate a bottle. It has a very intense but classy bouquet with pure red cherry, cranberry and wild strawberry scents infused by cold stone aromas. I adore the delineation of these aromatics. The palate is defined by filigree tannin, pitch perfect acidity, an almost sorbet-like freshness than dovetails into a lightly spiced, fine boned finish that is a pure joy. This may even surpass the 2015. - Neal Martin, robertparker.com

  4. Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles 2016
    WA92
    VM93
    $159.98
    Availability:In Stock
93-95 Points!  (the yield here was barely ten hectoliters per hectare): Bright, dark red. Sexy aromas of blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, white pepper and smoke are complemented by a deep mineral pungency. An essence of sappy Pinot on the palate, with its highly concentrated black fruit and mineral flavors accented by flowers and spices. This glistening, fine-grained wine saturates the entire mouth without leaving any impression of weight. Perhaps most impressive today on the rising stony finish, which leaves behind a subtle sweetness and a complicating licorice note. This has near-grand cru class.

  5. Faiveley Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes 2006
    VM90
    $59.98
    Availability:In Stock
90 Points! Bright medium red. Spicy red fruit aromas lifted by flowers. Sweet, juicy raspberry, dark chocolate and spice flavors are joined by a note of leather. Quite aromatic on the back half, finishing with dusty but sweet tannins that avoid hardness and very good grip and lift. - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media

  6. Georges Noellat Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots 2016 Pre-Arrival
    WA90
    $145.98
90-92 Points! The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots has another very elegant and poised bouquet: blackberry, raspberry and a subtle marine influence that becomes more prominent with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin, firm and more masculine, needing more flesh and harmony to come through on the finish. Not bad, but I wager that this is not one of the domaine’s best in 2016. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

  7. Georges Noellat Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras 2016 Pre-Arrival
    WA91
    VM91
    $145.98
91-93 Points! The 2016 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras was more backward on the nose compared to the domaine’s other 2016s, partly because it underwent a late malolactic, according to Maxime Chuerlin. The palate is medium-bodied with candied red berry fruit on the entry mixed with cassis and ink. I appreciate the grainy structure here, but it is more backward and sultry than Maxime’s other barrel samples at the moment. That said, it is clearly well defined and harmonious on the finish, and it should develop with style once in bottle. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

  8. Frederic Esmonin Nuits Saint Georges Les Hauts Pruliers 2015
    VM90
    $34.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
90 Points!  Bright ruby-red. Tight aromas of blackberry and licorice. Juicy and energetic but not hard, conveying a stony pungency to its flavors of black fruits, licorice, bitter chocolate and spices. Finishes with firm, chewy, ripe tannins and a piquant suggestion of black pepper. This wine has the balance to age nicely.

We did the research.  The average price of ALL wines from this vineyard from ALL producers (good and bad) and ALL vintages (good, bad, old, current) we could find was $110 a bottle.

So, what if we could give you a wine, direct from Burgundy, approved (ok, consumed with reckless abandon) by our team, with 10 years of bottle age for less than half that?

  11. Jean Grivot Nuits Saint Georges Les Charmois 2015
    WS91
    WA90
    $89.98
    Availability:In Stock
90-92 Points! The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Charmois was a little tight-fisted and recalcitrant when I tasted it from barrel, possibly because it had only just finished its tardy malolactic fermentation. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red cherries, wild strawberry and a pinch of sea salt, focused with good grip, leading to a vibrant, quite peppery finish. Enjoy this over the next 12-15 years. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

  12. Forey Nuits St. Georges 2014
    $59.98

There is a hint of herbal tea to the equally cool if less elegant nose of red currant, earth and sauvage nuances. There is good volume to the equally delicious, round and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins that should permit this to be approached with pleasure when young if desired. - Allen Meadows, Burghound #61
