  1. G.D. Vajra Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2016
    WS92
    WA92
    $39.98
    Availability:In Stock
92 Points! The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Superiore is a precise and balanced wine that applies a very orderly approach to a grape that can often show an untamed or wild side. In fact, this wine flaunts a level of pedigree that does not go unnoticed to those in the know about Barbera. This expression has it all under control, and the wine comports itself in a soothing manner that will pair well with hearty winter dishes. Fire up the grill now, or stick it in the cave and take your chances. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
  2. Du Grappin Cote de Brouilly 2017
    $24.98
    Availability:In Stock
The vineyard of "Haut de Chavannes" is high up on the slopes of the dormant volcano Mont Brouilly. The excellent exposure, old vines and signature rocky, blue granite of the Cote de Brouilly appellation gives the wine both concentration and finesse. Aged in old Burgundy barrels for ten months befroe being bottled without fining or filtration. Learn More
  3. Du Grappin Saint Amour 2017
    $28.98
    Availability:In Stock
"Our Du Grappin wines are a natural off-shoot from Le Grappin; vins de soif, made to be delicious, fun and refreshing. We source our grapes from the passionate and revolutionary growers in the under-rated Mâconnais, Beaujolais and Rhône regions. We make them by hand in our ancient cuverie in the walls of Beaune, with as much care and attention as with our Le Grappin wines. The results are wines with vivacity and personality; a joy to drink.” – Andrew & Emma Nielsen, Le Grappin Learn More

  7. Jean Foillard Morgon Cote du Py 2017
    WA94
    $39.98
    Availability:In Stock
Foillard's just-released 2017 Morgon Côte du Py is a great success, unwinding in the glass with aromas of red fruit compote and cherries that are complemented with aeration by beautiful top notes of rose petal, blood orange and violets. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a generous core of ripe but succulent fruit, tangy acids and powdery structuring tannins that assert themselves gently on the long, sapid finish. This is somewhat more sun-kissed in profile than the 2016, and I'm inclined to give the latter vintage a slight edge, but it also needs a year or two in bottle. - William Kelley, robertparker.com Learn More

  9. E. Pira & Figli Chiara Boschis Barbera D'Alba Superiore 2016
    WS91
    WA91
    $29.98
    Availability:In Stock
91 Points!  The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Superiore starts off with subtle and careful intensity. But as it takes on greater momentum in the glass, you begin to recognize dark fruit, etched mineral and black olive. The finish is polished and crisp. This Barbera reveals significant depth and lasting persistence. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate.

  10. Elio Grasso Barbera d'Alba Vigna Martina 2016
    WA93
    $27.98
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The Barbera grape can often act like Nebbiolo showing its best results in the later vintages that end on a cool note. Those conditions are what define the beautiful 2016 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Martina. The wine sees 20 days of maceration with submerged cap, and the bouquet is flowing, polished and impactful as a result. Blackberry, summer cherry and plum rise from the glass. Some 18 months of oak aging adds delicate touches of spice, leather and cedar. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com Learn More
  11. Agostino Pavia Barbera d'Asti Blina 2016
    $13.98
    Availability:In Stock
From importer Oliver McCrum: 'Blina' is the name of the vineyard. This wine is a direct, straightforward rendition of the Barbera grape. Fresh acidity and berry flavors are the hallmarks of Barbera, but low yields and old vines give this wine very good depth and concentration, too. Fermentation and aging are completed in stainless steel, and the wine is bottled before the following harvest. (There are two things I like about wines that aren't aged in oak; one of them is that they taste of fruit, rather than oak, and the other is that they are better value. New barriques cost $800+ each.)

  13. Pierre Chermette (Vissoux) Moulin a Vent Les Trois Roches 2017 Pre-Arrival
    WA95
    $29.98
95 Points!  The 2017 Moulin-à-Vent Les Trois Roches is superb—and likely the king of the cellar chez Chermette this year—wafting from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of raspberries, potpourri, orange rind and rose petal. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, layered and supple, with the most depth and amplitude of any wine in the portfolio and the most held in reserve, too. This is a fantastic expression of Moulin-à-Vent from one of Beaujolais’s greatest winemakers, and it comes warmly recommended. - William Kelley, robertparker.com

  14. Pierre Chermette (Vissoux) Beaujolais Villages Coeur de Vendanges Vignes Centenaires 2017 Pre-Arrival
    WA93
    $23.98
93 Points!  A wine that would embarrass many more expensive bottlings from Moulin-à-Vent or Fleurie, Chermette’s 2017 Beaujolais-Villages Coeur de Vendanges bursts with aromas of crushed cassis, raspberries, potpourri and rich soil tones. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with melting tannins, a generous core of sappy fruit and a long, beautifully delineated finish. Intensely flavorful but refreshing, accessible but substantive, this is a fabulous wine that exemplifies the appeal of Beaujolais. Given its unabashed deliciousness and decidedly modest tariff, this wine must be one of French wine’s greatest values. - William Kelley, robertparker.com
