94 Points! The 2011 Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese No 8 Zwischen den Seen displays minty flavors along with grapefruit aromas. Sweet, piquant and viscous on the palate this is a very round and well structured TBA from a very hot year, but it is well balanced and fresh, with lemon flavors in the finish. Very good length. - Stephan Reinhardt, robertparker.com Learn More

  3. Vinedos del Contino Rioja Gran Reserva 2011
    WS92
    WA92
    $44.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
92 Points! The 2011 Gran Reserva is bottled in magnum, blended from 70% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano, 12% Garnacha and 3% Viura. The élevage was extended to three years in used oak barrels followed by a further three years in bottle. It feels quite ripe and a little heady, generously oaked. It's a very dry year, and the wine doesn't have the freshness of the 2010. It seems like the nature of the vintage and the warmish location have resulted in a very ripe year. There is more freshness on the palate, where there are tannins that might need more time in bottle and even some edgy acidity.  - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate

  4. Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2011
    VM96
    $449.98
    Availability:In Stock
96+ Points!  Dark plum, mocha, spice, licorice and asphalt meld together in the 2011 Scarecrow. One of the most powerful, resonant wines of the year, the 2011 is endowed with serious structure. Readers need to be patient. Today the tannins are super powerful, but at the same time there is tremendous complexity in the glass. The 2011 is arguably the most refined Scarecrow ever made. There is plenty of depth, but also incredible elegance and precision throughout.

  5. Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes 2011
    WS99
    JS98
    WA97
    VM98
    $339.98
    Availability:In Stock
98 Points!- Luminous golden yellow. Cool, pure aromas of white peach, honeyed mango, guava nectar, white flowers and saffron are complicated by elements of crushed stone and spicy lemony botrytis. Suave and intensely flavored, with mineral-spiced apple, mango, passion fruit and grapefruit flavors offering outstanding purity, precision, and depth. The brisk but harmonious acidity gives this great Sauternes a penetrating quality and provides a powerful spine to the very deep flavors, making it seem less opulent than it really is. This Yquem has the depth of the 2007 but boasts even greater purity and focus. Finishes bright and extremely long, with repeating suggestions of white flowers and lemony botrytis. Though it lacks the depth of the 2001 or the opulence of the 2009 at a similar stage of development, this is one of my favorite young Yquems ever: it will age spectacularly well.-Vinous Media

93 Points!  So much pressed lavender to the nose here as well as the classic brambleberries but also some hints of sour cherries, leather and Chinese spices. This is full and delicious with moath-coating tannins, driven acidity and a compact yet long finish. Better in 2020. - JamesSuckling.com

  7. Pierre Peters Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Les Chetillons 2011 1.5L Magnum
    WA94
    VM93
    $259.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
94 Points! The 2011 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Chetillons Cuvée Speciale shows a clear and spicy bouquet with earthy and vegetal notes at the moment. There are also some white nougat and pignon flavors. On the palate, this is a firmly structured, fresh, elegant and, right now, lightly austere Chétillons that should be cellared for a decade, as Rodolphe Péters recommends. The long and mineral finish is very clear, fresh, firm and highly complex. This is a very promising Blanc de Blancs from three plots in Les Chétillons that were fermented separately. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

  8. Chartogne-Taillet Extra Brut Cuvee Chemin De Reims NV (2011)
    $69.98
    Availability:In Stock

The NV (2011) Extra-Brut Chemin de Reims is very nicely done, especially within the context of the vintage. Bright, fresh and beautifully delineated in the glass, the 2011 has a lot to offer. Hints of citrus peel, smoke, rosemary, mint and crushed stones add to the wine's bright flavor profile. Tense and crystalline on the palate, the 2011 largely (but not completely) avoids the green, vegetal notes that are so typical of the year. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later. Disgorged: April 2016. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter.

  9. Prieure Saint Jean de Bebian Languedoc 2011
    WA93
    $34.98
    Availability:Out of Stock
93 Points!  The straight 2011 Languedoc is also terrific, and reaffirms my belief in the quality of this vintage. Made from 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 25% Mourvèdre, aged 12 months in Burgundy barrels, it’s a -dead gorgeous red that has tons of cassis, black raspberry, licorice, exotic spice and toast in a full-bodied, ultra-fine, balanced package. In addition to delivering incredibly pleasure, it has classic Pézenas spice and elegance. I’d happily drink this beauty anytime over the coming 7-8 years.  Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate #224, April 2016

  12. De Martino Limavida Old Vine Malbec 2011
    JS92
    WA93
    VM92
Special Price $34.98 Regular Price $48.00
    Availability:In Stock
93 Points! The 2011 Single Vineyard Limavida is produced with the fruit from a 2.3-hectare, un-grafted, dry-farmed, old vineyard from Maule planted back in 1945 with mixed varieties, mainly Malbec (around 80%) and other red grapes, mainly Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon on granitic soils. It displays a bright ruby color with strong aromas of flowers (the telltale violets that the best Malbec really masters) and notes of aniseed, red fruit, licorice, smoked hints and the tension and acidity from the old vines with fine-grained tannins. With time in the glass, it develops a beautiful orange peel note that makes it appealing and fresh. A serious red from Maule. Delicious! - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate # 213

  13. Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf du Pape Les Haut Lieux 2011
    WA95
    $69.98
    Availability:In Stock
95 Points! Coming from a higher elevation, cooler terroir and limestone soils, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Hauts Lieux is a total rock star in the vintage and checks in as a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and the balance Counoise and Cinsault, which was aged all in foudre. Harvested very late (and this estate normally harvests on the early side) and not wrapping up until October, it possesses gorgeous purity, with mineral-tinged aromas of blackberry, currants, licorice, ground herbs and violets all soaring from the glass. An all-around powerful, structured and rich 2011, with a full-bodied mouthfeel, terrific acidity and big tannin, it will be one of the longest-lived wines in the vintage. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar, and drink bottles through 2026. - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #209
