Dehours Brut Grande Reserve NV
90 Points! Dehours' NV Grande Réserve Brut is entirely sourced from own vineyards and assembles young wines (mainly 2013s) with the complexity of the solera installed in 1998. Aged on the lees for 25 months (between May 2014 and June 2016), this non-vintaged Réserve has a bright citrus color and opens with a pure, fresh and chalky lemon bouquet with ripe and slightly oxidized apple and red currant aromas. There is nice Meunier character from the Marne Valley here. On the palate, this is a pure, fresh, elegant, well-structured and refreshing Brut with a delicate sur-lie character and fine tannins. Composed of roughly 70% Pinot Meunier along with Chardonnay and a small amount of Pinot Noir, this is an excellent aperitif to be served with oysters or raw fish. Don't serve the wine cooler than 12° Celsius (53° Fahrenheit). Tasted November 2017. - Stephan Reinhardt, robertparker.com
Winery notes: This Cuvée, extra aged on lees, reveals the Pinot Meunier Character, favorite grape-variety in the Marne Valley area and iconic identity of our vineyard. We use a high proportion of Reserve Wine from a Solera started in 1998.
