Luli Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands 2016
92 Points! From two vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands, all hand harvested, and brought up mostly in neutral barrels, the 2016 Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands offers lots of musky, melon, ripe pineapple, and lemon aromas and flavors. It’s rounded, textured, medium-bodied, and undeniably delicious, and at $20, it’s a smoking deal. Drink it over the coming couple of years. - Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com
91 Points! Light gold. Fresh melon, pear nectar and Meyer lemon aromas are complemented by suggestions of honey and smoky lees. Silky and appealingly sweet on the palate, showing very good focus and cut to the juicy, spice-tinged citrus and orchard fruit flavors. A subtle touch of salty minerality comes up on the finish, which clings with strong tenacity and repeating pear and spice notes. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media
