Alary Cairanne La Brunote 2016
93 Points! Like the Vieilles Vignes, the 2016 Cairanne la Brunote is looking even better from bottle than it did last year out of tank. It's 60% Grenache, with the remainder a co-fermentation of Carignan and Mourvèdre. Two demi-muids account for approximately 15% of the blend, while the rest of the blend aged in concrete tanks. From older vines and richer clay soils, this is brighter and fresher than the Vieilles Vignes, with perfumed, mixed-berry fruit and just a hint of cocoa. It's full-bodied, richly concentrated and silky in texture, with a long finish that leaves you searching for another sip. - Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com
