Maltroye Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Dent de Chien 2016
94 Points! From vines planted in 1935 that yielded only 11 hl/ha in 2016. Once again there is a discreet touch of wood setting off the pure, fresh and airy aromas of Granny Smith apples, lemon zest, petrol and soft floral nuances. There is an even more refined mouth feel to the ultra-dense, focused and powerful flavors that possess a caressing palate feel while exhibiting huge length and terrific complexity on the ever-so-slightly warm finish. Cournut rarely misses with this wine but it is especially good in 2016. Don't MIss! Oustanding. - Allen Meadows, Burghound #71
