This is a beautiful wine made by Jean-Yves Bechet and no expense is spared in turning out this sumptuous blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Cabernet Franc. A nose of blackberries, currants with subtle and elegant hints of new wood it’s very silky, fresh, fruity as well as explosively rich and super-concentrated. Drink now or over the next decade.
James Suckling writes in Wine Spectator: "An interesting coffee and cigar note coats the black cherry and berry. Medium- to full-bodied, turning a bit chewy on the finish, but there's a good concentration of fruit and mineral. Needs time. Best after 2011. 3,750 cases made."
Robert Parker writes in Wine Advocate: "This 2005 still has some tannin to shed, but its dense ruby color and big, sweet nose of chocolate-covered cherries are enticing. Medium-bodied, structured, and surprisingly powerful, it should be even better with another year of bottle age. It will last for 7-8 years."
