A.P. VIN 2006 KEEFER VNYD PINOT NOIR

  

After learning the craft from modern Pinot Noir guru Brian Loring, Andrew Vingiello decided to go his own way with this small, artisan label.  In 2006, Andrew was able to coax about 250 cases worth of grapes from Marcy and Craig Keefer’s esteemed cool climate vineyard in the Russian River Valley.  Bright, nervy, there’s great tension between the red cherry fruit, vigorous spice notes and snappy acids in this wine.  Excellent concentration here for such a dainty wine, as evidenced by the long fruit-filled finish.   Unfined, unfiltered, about half new wood.
