LA BASTIDE 2006 ROUSSANNE

We have sold Guilhem Durand’s reds a number of times over the years, for the most part varietally labelled Syrahs that were under his name. But we didn’t know the guy had this kind of touch with white wines. We have been selling a perfectly delightful little Viognier from La Bastide for some time now and this Roussanne was a hit again. Fresh and bright, with notes of melon, grain, and nuts, this is an engaging drink that will go nicely by itself or with a variety of those lighter summer foods. Surprisingly vivid for its modest pedigree, a real charmer.
