From Wine Spectator: Essence of blackberry, black cherry and cassis define this deep-flavored red. This has a Portlike aroma and loads of smoke and spice notes, which fold into the rich, intense finish. Drink now through 2008. 400 cases imported. –KM
By Josh Raynolds in Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: Dark red. Rich, dense and chocolatey on the nose, with suggestions of roasted coffee, cassis and cherry preserves. Fat and almost oily in texture, showing an earthy, musky blackcurrant flavor and a spicy hint of licorice. The long, plummy finish is weighty and meaty, with serious heft and a sappy quality.
