There isn’t a ton of this one but we couldn’t resist the urge to hum a few bars about the true deal of Armin Diel’s line-up. Armin’s wines have always bowled us over with their power and weight. Not only are they the best player on the field but they’re frantically waving their hands yelling, “Pick me!”
Unfortunately, like with most ball-players, that great talent tends to come at a price a little too steep for what they deliver. No problem this year! This is an Albert Pujols of a wine, hitting it out of the park with explosive, purple flower and slate-riddled aromatics, hauntingly perfect acids and screaming citrus and pear flavors. Diel turned in a big-time performance here to which we say pay the man what he’s worth.
